About me

Hi! My name is Rahma Chaabouni and I am a PhD student at the AST Research Group, within the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in the beautiful city of Tarragona, Spain under the supervision of Dr. Pedro Garcia Lopez and Dr. Marc Sanchez Artigas.

My current research interests are peer-to-peer systems, distributed storage systems and Cloud technologies. In particular, I am interested in content distribution in Cloud environment. My PhD research is connected to the project CloudSpaces, Open Service Platform for the Next Generation of Personal Clouds (FP7-317555), funded by the European Union.


I grew up in Sfax, Tunisia where I studied Software Engineering at the National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS). My end of study research project was entitled "New mechanisms for the control of service composition in the Cloud" and was held alternately between the Research Unit of Development and Control of Distributed Applications (ReDCAD) at ENIS and the INRIA project-team ASCOLA (ASpect and COmposition LAnguages) at "Ecole des Mines de Nantes" in France.
